The application fields of fabrics are extremely broad

(1) Fabric can increase the flexural strength of mortar more than short fibers. In a 3cm thick mortar specimen, the flexural strength of the mortar specimen with a layer of fabric laid flat increased by 9.7% compared to the plain mortar specimen and 6.25% compared to the fiber-reinforced mortar specimen; Although the fiber content is the same per unit volume of mortar, the reinforcement effect of two-dimensional fabric is higher than that of one-dimensional short fiber;
(2) The integrity of the interface layer between fabric and mortar or concrete affects its stress transmission effect. If the interface strength is small, the reinforcement effect will be poor, and even the strength of the mortar may be reduced;
(3) The higher the density of the fabric, that is, the higher the fabric content per unit volume, the better the reinforcement effect of the fabric on mortar or concrete. There are two types of fabrics with a weft density of 20 strands · (10cm) -1 and warp densities of 40 strands · (10cm) -1 and 50 strands · (10cm) -1, respectively. The mortar strength of the latter fabric is increased by 16.2% compared to the former, but the fabric density should not be too high, otherwise the gaps formed by the warp and weft yarns in the fabric are too small, making it difficult for mortar or concrete aggregates to pass through the pores, reducing the bonding performance between the fabric and mortar or concrete, and ultimately affecting the reinforcement effect of the fabric on mortar or concrete;
(4) The more layers of fabric laid flat in a certain thickness of mortar, the better the effect of fabric reinforced mortar. In 3cm thick mortar, 3 to 4 layers are better;
(5) The fabric structure has a certain influence on the flexural strength and splitting tensile strength of fabric reinforced concrete. The splitting tensile strength of single-layer, double-layer, and four layer fabric reinforced concrete are 2.35Mpa, 2.59Mpa, and 2.73Mpa, respectively, and the flexural strength is 3.2Mpa, 3.5Mpa, and 3.7Mpa, respectively; The splitting tensile strength of single-layer and double-layer cross shaped three-dimensional fabric reinforced concrete are 2.13Mpa and 2.28Mpa, respectively, and the flexural strength is 3.7Mpa and 4.0Mpa, respectively, indicating that the structural morphology of the fabric is different, and there are many gaps in the fabric, which is conducive to improving the strength of the concrete; The cross shaped fabric has a better effect on increasing the flexural strength of concrete than the flat fabric;
(6) The effect of fabric placement on mortar reinforcement strength varies depending on the position of the fabric in the specimen. The reinforcement direction of the fabric can be selected according to the needs. Placing the reinforcement fabric in the direction of principal stress bearing will result in better reinforcement effect.
